A Beautiful Beginning at Holliday Farms
This April wedding at Holliday Farms in Zionsville, Indiana was filled with the kind of moments that remind you what truly matters.
The plan was for an outdoor ceremony, but Indiana weather had other ideas. As the rain rolled in, everything quickly shifted indoors, and honestly, it could not have been more perfect. Beneath a softly styled indoor arbor, surrounded by just 20 of their closest friends and family, they said their vows in a setting that felt incredibly intimate, warm, and full of meaning.
Weddings don't always go exactly as planned, and this is where experience really matters. When weather and locations shift quickly, being able to adapt especially with lighting and timing keeps the day running smoothly and the memories thoughtfully documented.
This day was especially significant for so many reasons. This was her second marriage after the loss of her first husband, and his very first. I’ve known the groom for nearly 20 years, and seeing him so happy and at home in this moment was something I won’t forget.
The bride was absolutely stunning. Her slim-fitting dress paired perfectly with her soft, curly brown hair and a full, lush bouquet. Every detail about her felt effortless and elegant. While the day stayed simple by design, the moments we captured told the full story with heartfelt vows and the joining of two lives into one.
One of the most touching parts of the ceremony was her walk down the aisle, accompanied by both her dad and her son, Isaac. Her children, Isaac, Olivia, and Ava, were not just part of the day, they were part of the foundation of this new beginning. Watching the five of them together, you could already see the shape of a strong, loving family.
After the ceremony, the rain finally gave us a little break and we snuck out onto the balcony for a few portraits. Those quiet moments together, just the two of them, ended up being some of the most beautiful of the day.
They kept things simple with family portraits, a sweet cake cutting, and even a little “first dance” moment with a bit of my encouragement. It was relaxed, genuine, and completely true to who they are.
This was not a day about perfection or big production. It was about love, resilience, and second chances. By the end of it, it was clear that this is just the beginning of something really beautiful, a new chapter as one big, happy family.
